DIGI SHOWDOWN TOURNAMENT Season2 RULES & REGULATIONS

Tournament Regulations for Participation This is a card tournament with a cash prize for the Digimon Card Game. Only residents of the United States of America are eligible for participation. This tournament will use a variation of the single elimination format. This tournament will be held remotely and use the online communication system Discord. Individuals under the age of 21 will not be allowed to take part in this tournament. If a participant is found to have fabricated their age, they will be immediately disqualified. There may be cases where we are unable to change parts of your application, so please be sure to read over your application closely before submitting. The contents of this event are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice. This event may also be cancelled due to natural disaster or other unforeseen events. We appreciate your understanding. Only the applicant can participate in this tournament. Participants will be asked to confirm their identity before the tournament. Please prepare some form of personal identification, such as a driver's license, insurance card, or passport. (Copies will also be accepted.) If your address changes after applying to this tournament, please email your new address to us immediately. The acceptance or denial or your application, as well as any information regarding the tournament will be sent to the e-mail address entered in your application form.
Handling of the Cards Anyone who is able to play the Digimon Card Game on their own may participate in this tournament. Any Digimon cards that have been released and distributed at the time of the tournament may be used, as long as they are not on the list of banned cards. You must include cards from [BT-10] and [EX-03] in your tournament deck. Using the [BT-10] and [EX-03] card list that will be provided separately, you will be able to borrow cards free of charge. Borrowed cards cannot be used in any tournaments besides the DIGI SHOWDOWN Season 2.

 After the tournament, please return the cards as quickly as possible.

The following are cards that cannot be used for this tournament.

1. a) Digimon cards that were distributed at separate Digimon card tournaments, or other limited edition cards not normally used.
2. b) Banned/restricted cards (restricted cards are limited to one copy per deck)
3. c) Japanese Digimon Cards

In order to confirm that the cards in your deck follow the rules of the tournament, you will be asked to provide a list of cards in the deck you will be using in the tournament. On the day of the tournament, if your deck is found to be in violation of the tournament's rules, you will be disqualified immediately.
Notes for the Tournament Participants will be expected to carefully review and be aware of the risks outlined in the "Warning about Digimon gaming websites and software without proper licenses" that is available at the Digimon Card Game official website (https://world.digimoncard.com/). Participants must follow the rules for this tournament as directed by the judge.
Detailed rules are based on the BANDAI Organized Play: Tournament Rules Manual. Matches will use the latest rules on August 1st, 2022, at 0:00 PST. Eating and drinking during the tournament is prohibited. To prevent fraudulent activity, interruptions to the game are prohibited. Please finish any food or drink and take any smoking or bathroom breaks before the match. Leaving your seat for more than five minutes of the game may result in your disqualification. Please turn off your cell phone or put it on silent mode. Using your cell phone or making phone calls during the match may result in your disqualification. In order to remove any doubts about fraudulent activity, please keep any cards outside of those in your deck out of sight. While playing, please hold your cards above the table so your opponent will be able to see the number of cards you have in your hand.
Prize Guideline Payment of the prize money from winning will occur according to the rules of the tournament. Payment of the prize money will occur once the show has been uploaded. Payment of the prize money will be in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Payment of the prize money will be handled by a third-party. Those who will be eligible for a prize will be asked to sign up for the payment service and to follow their instructions. Other payment services will not be used.
Video Filming, Connection, and Publication Please prepare your own home Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection before the match. Any internet or connection fees will be the responsibility of the participant. The tournament will be uploaded online as a show, so players will be asked to show gameplay on camera, record interviews, and have their photos taken. As this is an online tournament (participants will play remotely), we will ask the participants to record their interviews and gameplay. We ask that participants film their matches and table or other surfaces. Your face and name (Player Name) will be included in the tournament video. Commercial use of the published video is prohibited. Published videos are not to be modified in any way. Card sleeves, game mats, and Memory Gauges that are not made by Bandai are strictly prohibited. Additionally, participants may not use or wear items that can be identified as properties belonging to entities other than Bandai. This restriction includes, but is not limited to, logos, characters, and designs specific to other brands. During the tournament and when filming your interview, please make sure that any merchandise that is not official Digimon merchandise made by Bandai is not showing in the shot. The matches for this tournament will be filmed. Any recordings or photographs taken during this event will be used in promotional materials, including but not limited to tournament videos, promotional videos, infomercials, websites, magazine articles, and pamphlets. Filming and recording for purposes outside of those outlined by the organizers is strictly prohibited. Racist, violent, sexual, and any other remarks and actions found to be in violation of public morals and order are prohibited.
Before the Tournament Once a match schedule has been decided, participants may not withdraw from the tournament without prior notice. If a participant cannot be contacted or fails to respond, it may be viewed as a withdrawal from the tournament.
After the Tournament Participants will be asked to complete a survey after the tournament. Participants may not share pictures of the rented cards, contract content, or any correspondence with the tournament team with a third party, including on social media. Until the videos from the tournament are released, participants are asked to refrain from identifying themselves as participants or sharing match results.

【Attention】
After the tournament, if we cannot confirm the return of the rental cards and all other items lent by Bandai, the offending participant will be banned from participating in future Digimon card tournaments and all other events.

We may also retain a customer’s information while keeping the customer anonymous. Under some circumstances, we may not be able to delete or update applicable data such as usernames, avatars, and chat messages that can be seen through gameplay and have been cached by another player’s device.

Other ways in which you can manage our collection of your personal data include unlinking your Facebook or other social media accounts from our games; deleting our games or other Services from your devices; resetting or limiting your device’s advertising identifier from your device’s settings; limiting or preventing the use of cookies on your device. Child Protection
We do not knowingly ask for or collect personal information from, or display targeted advertising to, or give permission to use our games or Services to anyone under the age of 16. Please contact us if you believe that we may be holding information of any children under the age of 16 without the permission of their legal guardian.

Our base of operations is located in Japan and as such our Service is provided via transfer overseas. Some of your data may be transferred to countries in which data protection laws are not carried out in the same manner as described in this Privacy Policy.
